Super-Critical Fluid and Super-Critical Extraction Industry

Battery Industry

The supercritical fluid has many of the properties of both gas and liquid. Like a gas, it has many of the flow characteristics and the low viscosity. More important, like a liquid, it has the superior dissolving and extracting properties.

Supercritical fluid can be used to selectively extract target compounds from a complex mixture. In some cases the target compounds is of interest. In other cases it may be an impurity or some other harmful materials which must be removed from the final product. The typical SFE job: from fast, gravimetric extraction of fat from foods or additives from polymers, to trace analysis of environmental samples.

APP's SCF Digital Pumping System allows easy computer control of pressure generation up to 15,000 PSI. Using your existing PC-compatible computer connected through it RS-232 serial port and the supplied Windows-based software. The pressure ramp can be pre-programmed for complete hands-off operation. Just specify a list of the desired pressure and holding times and the digital pump will do the rest. APP also supplies an automated valve, which can be controlled by the digital pump board to the complete automated SFC or SFE system.
